I first began communicating with animals and the spirits of those who had passed at an early age. While growing up in Oregon around the age of five I clearly recall having seen a favorite cat (who had passed recently) playing in the garden while looking out the kitchen window where I was washing dishes with my mom. When I commented to my mother about our cat being viewable out in the garden, I was reminded that it was, "not possible to see her" as the cat had passed a few months earlier.
About a year later I remember seeing the ghostly figure of a gentleman all dressed in buckskins with fringe. The ghost had a long rifle slung over his back and a large knife in his right hand. This apparition would drift from one room to the next in our home and usually went from the hall bathroom into a study room across the hall. Later I would come to find out that the area where this occurred was well known for beaver and other furs and that the trappers would frequently get into trouble with the Native Americans who hunted the same lands.
Soon chasing after ghosts and the experiences of seeing deceased pets became a distant memory as the innocence of childhood was replaced with the mundane demands of living in the physical world. Between school and work there was little time for contemplating memories which seemed to make no sense.
Many years later, as a young adult I found myself happily married, a father and at the helm of my own business. I had left the "rat race" for a career as a purveyor of sea glass, jewelry and offering guided beach combing tours. After founding both a business www.bythebaytreasures.com (since sold) and co-founding the North American Sea Glass Association, I found myself at a turning point in my life.
On the evening of January, 24th 2006 a ghost appeared in my home and reawakened my dormant abilities to communicate with the spirits of those who had passed. I had been a skeptic of all things paranormal as an adult and had chalked up my childhood memories to nothing more than a vivid imagination. Now here I was faced with a ghost who looked every bit as real as my mailman and all of a sudden (like riding a bike) I found myself able to not only see this ghost, but to interact with her and understand what she was communicating to me. After checking with historical records and consulting our town's historical society, it became clear that she had lived on the properly we now live on, in Benicia, CA.
After assisting her in crossing over, and learning to communicate with our loved ones in spirit, (on the other side.) I began to provide my services to the general public. Within a few months I discovered that I could communicate with the spirits of both living and passed animals, of all species and both wild and domestic. While offering my services as a psychic medium, I was minding the front of the shop that I was working at and a person with the Humane Society came in and was asking for donations for an upcoming fundraiser. I offered to donate an hour long pet reading, I was then utilized by the Humane Society for some animals that that needed help with. I was then asked to provide my services at their annual fundraiser, that was a few years ago and this last year I was featured on the front page of the newspaper with a story about their upcoming event.
While proficient in many areas as a psychic medium who has assisted with missing persons and violent crime investigations, I find my true calling at this time to be a focus on giving the animals a voice. With raising a family I have found that it not the best idea to work on criminal cases with small children at home, as work can sometimes follow you home. I really do enjoy connecting people with their ancestors and even helping out with researching family trees, however I enjoy working with animals the most.
Animals are incredible, they are connected to us 24/7 telepathically. Once we discover that animals can communicate at near conversational levels telepathically, with the use of images, and feelings - our perception of the world changes. We tend to become "better" people as we discover just how connected we all are. Through my work with animals I have had opportunities to kayak with whales, commune with birds and chat with rhinos. My fear and apprehension of such animals as snakes, spiders and sharks has been replaced with a deep respect and appreciation for their beauty and the role they provide in the great circle of life.
I believe that we are all capable of learning how to communicate with our loved ones in spirit and our animals. My goal is to create a better planet for all of us by revealing what is possible, enabling individuals to communicate with their animal companions, living and passed, and loved ones in spirit.
