All of us have what many refer to as Spirit Guides and Guardian Angels. The spirits of those who have our best interests at heart. They can be spirits of people whom we had contact with in this world, family members, noted authorities in their field of expertise such as great artists, inventors, musicians etc. Many times when we immerse ourselves in the study of another great human, we draw the attention of their spirit. If they feel so inclined, they make take an interest in our own success and coach us from the other side. The same is true of ascended masters.
One of the best ways to describe a spirit guides' role in our lives is the analogy of a NASCAR pit crew and their driver. Imagine that you are the driver and you are in a race. The race is your life on earth. The pit crew assist the driver in navigating the track. They are able to provide additional insights and information which assists the driver in making more informed decisions.

Ultimately we are all responsible for our own lives and so often times they will not provide direct answers, they will provide additional viewpoints and insight. They tend to not interfere in our lives and are most active when we actively engage them. There are just as many types of guides out there as there are people and not only do we all have human spirit guides, we also have animal spirit guides that assist us.

All of us have guardian angels, (a different species than us) whose primary role is our health and safety. Though I have interacted with them on occasion, most of my interactions are with spirits that we are more familiar with. Often times someone who we knew while alive and who has passed has chosen to work from beyond as one of our guides. They too are guardian angels, of a slightly different breed.

It is possible to "customize" our spirit guides, as in we can tailor them to fit our goals and interests in all aspects and areas of our lives. Most of us if not all of us are already doing this without our own knowledge. Many times while in the middle of a reading I will connect with some great thinker, writer, artist or notable individual within a specific field. The person whom the reading is for will then admit to having thought about the person who has made their presence known, yet they often times have no idea that the person whom they have shown an interest in, has taken an interest in them as well.

Once we understand how the process works, we can have great fun with it. For example, one day while playing around on drums I asked a friend who was with me at the time if he could suggest some drummers who had passed and who were considered greats. He provided several names and I wrote them down, called out to each one and with no knowledge of their music sat at the drums waiting for something to happen. After about five minutes I felt someone come in and I picked up the sticks, holding them differently then I usually do, I began to tap out a rhythm that was unlike any I had played before. Pretty soon I was really starting to have fun with what I was doing, it was different, sounded cool and was fun. My friend came in from the other room and exclaimed that he did not know that I had been picking up lessons on how to play like the person who I had just sounded like.

Hi Charles,
First of all, the reading I had with you this morning was amazing and exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much for sharing your gift. I really feel that you have opened my eyes to things in my life that I have been pessimistic about. I am amazed by the details you gave me. I have to admit that I had a reading with a more well known psychic about a year ago, I was put on a waiting list for 8 months and paid $350 for what was supposed to be a 30 minute reading, but only turned out to be 20 minutes. I am so happy to have found someone as talented and accessible as you.

So, now to the information I have received since my reading with you. After I got off the phone with you I called my mother who was with my grandmother at the time. I told her about the Charlie Chaplin conversation we had and my grandmother says, "Oh, I don’t' know if I've ever told you this, but I dated one of Charlie Chaplin's son's when I was a teenager." My grandmother grew up in L.A. and often ran around with celebrities. She is also the grandmother I was telling you about who would moor their boat in Charlie Chaplin's mooring in Catalina Island. I couldn't believe it! I am really going to try to connect with him as you suggested so that he may help me with my writing. I will keep in touch and let you know how things go.

Best Regards,
Caitlin
